Power Platform

Power Apps and Power Automate

Bespoke apps and workflow hosted in Microsoft 365.

Is it for me?

Sometimes you identify a requirement that goes beyond the native limits of SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. You need custom functionality, specific to your business, which supports your internal processes, or streamlines and automates existing manual tasks.

Existing, off the shelf products can be too far detached from your needs, or they include way more features than you require, in which case cost will be a concern as well.

You could write your own custom application, using one of the many modern development frameworks. However, you’ll need a team of developers to create, maintain and evolve the application.

If you subscribe to Microsoft 365, you already have access to Power Automate, Microsoft’s “low code” development platform. Power Platform includes Power Apps and Power Automate, two cloud services which allow you to:

  • Create bespoke, branded business applications for desktop and mobile devices.
  • Configure custom screen layouts, adding functionality with a pre-defined set of galleries and controls.
  • Capture, process and display data based on your organisation’s needs.
  • Integrate advanced workflow scenarios to manipulate application data, generating alerts or integrate 3rd party applications and data.
  • Designate application data, screens and actions to individual roles, allowing complex business processes to be managed within a single application.

Why yoko:10?

We’re not developers, but we’ve been helping organisations automate and streamline business processes using Microsoft applications for a long time. We’ve been building business solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate since their release in 2017. Before Power Platform, we worked with its predecessors, InfoPath and SharePoint Designer, to create complex form and workflow solutions.

During previous Power Platform projects, we’ve created a range of different business applications, with functionality that includes:

  • The recording, assignment, tracking and delivery of work requests.
  • The generation and management of business contracts and contract data.
  • The management, recording and tracking of quality standards.

We always try to make our apps as easy as possible for you to maintain and administer upon completion. If you’re using Power Platform for the first time, we’ll also make sure your environments are set-up correctly, with the appropriate permissions and governance in place.

What’s involved?

You can call, or drop us an email, if you’d like to discuss your requirements, our approach, or anything else Power Platform related.

In the meantime, here’s an overview of the main area’s we’d expect to cover when creating a custom app for you:

  • Understand the problems or issues you’d like to address, and high-level requirements for your app.
  • Complete stakeholder interviews and workshops, confirming all requirements and associated processes.
  • Agree the required functionality, audiences, screen layouts and functionality.
  • Discuss potential license requirements and options for 3rd party connectors and workflow actions.
  • Build your app! We follow an agile approach, allowing for review and feedback as we progress the build.
  • Complete user acceptance testing and make your app live.

How much and how long?

Our Power App projects start from £3,625 + VAT and can be completed in as little as two weeks.
